This introductory course provides students with an introduction to human physiology. The organization of the human body, from cells to tissues to organs, and the relationship between structure & function is emphasized. An overview of the concepts of homeostasis and control of body systems is provided along with the study of the physiology of the different body systems. Learning activities provide students with the foundational knowledge and skills required to undertake further study of body systems and to demonstrate knowledge of normal and abnormal structure and function of the human body.
