The objective of the course is to provide the students in the oil and gas sector advanced business, management and leadership skills needed to function at a strategic level as a contemporary energy manager.
It is important for the future oil and gas managers in the oil and gas sector to understand the fundamental importance of operations management, the relationships between stakeholder needs, organisational objectives and operational strategies
It is also important to analyse a range of strategic options available to operations decision-makers, to appraise and select the most appropriate sustainable operational strategies and to critically analyse the performance of organisations from an operations perspective.
In summary this course aims to explore key constituents of the strategic management environment and to develop knowledge of and skills in the interpretation of the strategic management in the oil and gas business environment.
