The course provided experience with the administration, scoring and interpretation of the Neuropsychology and cognitive function tools such as the Weschsler Adult Intelligence Scale (Wais) and the Weschsler Adult Intelligence Children (WISC). Students are instructed on the rationale, theory and psychometrics of intelligence tests. In addition students become familiar with the use of the instruments through laboratory work. A patient-centred, ethical and culturally-sensitive approach to intelligence testing is presented. Understanding of test Psychometrics and empirically-grounded assessement theory is discussed. Students are prepared to integrate test findings and produce written reports of psychological assessment.
